The keynote speaker, Sir Howard Davies, director of the London School of Economics gave an interesting, if not somewhat pessimistic (in terms of the UK) view of the global economy.  After lunch, Stephen De Keyser, a partner at Bignon De Keyser, shared his views on how Meritas could compete with the increasing number of integrated international law firms.

Saturday morning, saw more break out sessions and practice group meetings, with the conference winding up after lunch.
