FSI sees property investment activity increasing

This has culminated in the team advising on 4 deals worth in excess of £130 million.
The deals were advising:

Dr Oetker on the sale of prime retail space to MaxMara in London's most exclusive shopping street, Old Bond Street, valued in excess of £50 million (led by Melvyn Orton)

Polenta Holdings on the purchase of Blakes Hotel, the renowned and chic boutique hotel, in Kensington for £20 million (led by Stephen Lewis)

X-Leisure on the investment sale of their leisure parks at Grant's of Croydon for £32.5 million and Five Ways Birmingham for £27 million (led by Stephen Lewis)
Martin Smith, FSI's Head of Property said "Despite the property market having a very difficult few years we have seen a significant shift in investment activity, particularly in the retail & leisure sector".
Mark Baker of Polenta Holdings Ltd, owner of Blakes hotel, also commented on their purchase "This was a significant and strategic investment for us and we needed a team of lawyers who understood the sector. FSI have that knowledge and provided us with a first rate service".
