Alex undertakes the full spectrum of employment law work, including drafting contracts of employment and staff handbooks, advising on disciplinary, grievance and redundancy issues, advising on executive terminations and conducting Employment Tribunal proceedings (acting for both employers and senior employees). 

She has a particular interest in post-termination restrictions and confidentiality issues and has acted in a range of High Court proceedings.  She has appeared as an advocate in both the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.  

Recent work advising

• an inter-dealer broker in relation to breaches of confidentiality by an employee on garden leave
• an engineering company on the restructuring of its UK management team
• a financial services clients on the implications of the FSA Remuneration Code; appeared on BBC News discussing the implications of the Code for the sector
• a senior PR professional in an Employment Tribunal claim for unfair dismissal and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation
