Madeleine graduated from Durham University in 2007 with a degree in French which included spending a year abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, as part of her course. On her return to London, Madeleine completed the GDL and LPC at BPP London Waterloo and Holborn respectively, taking electives in Advanced Commercial Property, Advanced Commercial Litigation and Family Law.

She also attended client meetings, conferences with Counsel and presented the department’s monthly “know-how” meetings giving updates on legislation and recent case decisions.
Madeleine's third seat was in the litigation department where she worked on an international fraud case and was involved in a large disclosure exercise. She was also able to attend court with Counsel on a number of occasions which she found thoroughly rewarding.
Madeleine's final seat is in the corporate department.
