Alice is an associate in the employment team.  She specialises in all aspects of the employment relationship and employment law issues with a particular sector focus in media and financial services.

Alice has specialist experience advising on the strategy and implementation of business reorganisations including the adoption of individual and collective redundancy processes, outsourcing and workforce-wide changes to terms and conditions of employment.

Alice is a regular speaker at the FSI breakfast forums and contributor to the FSI e-alert service. She also provides bespoke in-house training for clients on topical employment issues relevant to their particular concerns and requirements.

Recent work advising

• a large multinational clients on UK employment issues including reorganisations and director level terminations
• part of a nationwide insurance brokerage on varying terms and conditions of employment to achieve effective business protections without loss of staff or claims
• financial services sector clients on the employment law aspects of conversion from limited company to LLP status - including practical assistance with employee consultation to ensure a successful conversion process
• on business protection and competition issues through the use of restrictive covenant and confidentiality provisions - including practical advice and steps for protecting confidential information from misuse in the workplace
• on board level reorganisations to a range of clients including high profile media and financial services organisations
• start up companies on the preparation of employment contracts and service agreements
• organisations on “health checks” of their employment practices and documentation for points based sponsorship licence applications
• on Employment Tribunal claims involving high value sex discrimination and whistle blowing claims

Random fact

Prior to commencing her legal career Alice had the unusual pleasure of working for Lord Lloyd-Webber as his PA (sadly he was not won over by what can only be described as her unique singing style and thankfully for her clients that particular career never took off).
