Fiona Hinds Senior Associate: Litigation

Fiona is a senior associate in the litigation team. She has experience in a wide range of fields, including shareholder disputes, financial services and regulation, with a particular focus on civil fraud matters. Fiona has recently returned from a secondment to the London Stock Exchange.
Recent work

advising a number of organisations on internal investigations, particularly in the manufacturing and financial services sectors

in relation to potential enforcement proceedings by overseas and domestic regulators where concerns have arisen about fraud or misconduct

a secondment to the Investigations and Enforcement team within AIM Regulation at the London Stock Exchange

assisting an activist hedge fund shareholder in its campaign to change the conduct of the board a public company
-
advising a former civil servant defending a civil claim in respect of alleged corruption while in office
-
acting for the defendant in a claim against a solicitor arising from his alleged role in a fraud perpetrated on the claimants
-
advising the respondent to an anonymous injunction obtained in private in relation to a claim for defamation, involving an overseas freezing order and an application for committal to prison for alleged breach of the injunction
Fiona has also acted pro bono on matters for the National Centre for Domestic Violence.
