Imogen is a senior associate in our commercial litigation practice, with additional expertise in the context of education disputes where she has acted for universities, colleges of further education, independent schools and the parents of school pupils.

Imogen has a first class degree in law from Oxford University and a postgraduate degree in law (BCL). She worked as a legal researcher at the Law Commission (Common Law Team) before qualifying as a solicitor in 2000.

Imogen has over 9 years’ litigation and dispute resolution experience, which includes the following areas:

• contractual disputes
• insurance disputes
• unfair contract terms
• professional negligence disputes
• other negligence claims in a commercial context
• restitution (unjust enrichment) claims
• debt collection
• education disputes (higher education and schools)
• discrimination and victimisation (in the context of education)

• a student claim against university for damages for breach of contract and negligence based on inadequate supervision
• student discrimination claims against universities (race, sex, disability)
• on a claim by an estate agent for introduction fee due on purchase of £11 million property
• a property developer in a dispute with the sub-contractor over construction works
